Five coveted tickets for the 2027 PGA Tour are the holy grail for which hundreds of golfers are currently battling through a ruthless qualification system: the PGA Tour Q-School presented by Korn Ferry 2026. This four-stage inferno decides who makes the leap into the elite ranks of golf and who gets stuck on the tough road. It is the ultimate test that makes professional dreams come true or shatters them.
Players can enter the qualification process at various points depending on their past performance and status. For all others, the march to the top begins with Pre-Qualifying, followed by the First Stage, which takes place at 14 locations. Here, a brutal culling already occurs before the best advance to the Semi-Finals.
The Grueling Final Stage
The Final Stage will be held from December 10th to 13th at Dye’s Valley Course and Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Everything will be decided here: The top five players will secure a 2027 PGA Tour Card – that's the jackpot! Another 40 players will at least receive status for the 2027 Korn Ferry Tour, which is the next step on the ladder. An extremely high level of play is guaranteed here.
The First Stage has already produced some drama. At Champions Pointe Golf Club in Indiana, 17 players made the cut at 15-under 273. At the University of New Mexico Championship Course, 18 golfers advanced with 5-under 279 or better. One who impressed there with 5-under 279 was Canadian Jeevan Sihota, who already competed in the 2026 RBC Canadian Open and 3M Open – a talent with potential.
Who Advances to the Second Stage?
The Second Stage is scheduled for December 1st to 4th and will be played on five challenging courses: Valencia Country Club in California, The Club at Starr Pass in Tucson, Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Georgia, RTJ Golf Trail at Highland Oaks in Dothan, Alabama, and The Club at Hammock Beach in Palm Coast, Florida. It's all or nothing here, as only the best will see the Final Stage.
The 2026 Q-School is the last chance to qualify for the 2027 PGA Tour through the regular pathway. The tension is palpable – it's a battle of nerves that only rewards the very best.
