The TaylorMade Qi4D driver shatters the competition in 2026, claiming the title of best driver of the year. However, off the tee, its performance isn't always as stellar. MyGolfSpy's latest Most Wanted testing reveals a clear picture: while the Qi4D shines as an absolute game-changer, other categories from the club giant perform only in the midfield or even worse.
With a score of 9.2/10, the Qi4D convincingly beat 41 other tested drivers, becoming the undisputed "Best Driver of 2026". Whether swinging at 90 or 105 mph, this 'king of woods' delivers. The TaylorMade R7 Quad Mini Driver is also a true powerhouse, securing its category win for the second consecutive time with an 8.9/10, offering a cool alternative for those who prefer something a bit more compact.
From Tee to Green
The Qi4D also shows its strength in the fairway woods category. With an 8.8/10, it secured a strong third place among 20 tested models. This strong result solidifies the Qi4D platform as TaylorMade's strongest offering for 2026. Anyone who thought TaylorMade dominates across the entire bag range will be proven wrong with the irons. The Qi Max sits in the midfield, with the HL version even further behind – there's still room for improvement here.
Shadows on the Green
There's a slight dent in the image when it comes to hybrids. Here, TaylorMade takes a significant hit: the two tested models finished in seventh and eighth place out of a total of eight competitors. That's a strong statement. For wedges, the Hi-Toe 5 was included in the testing, at 56 degrees among a field of 15 models, but it couldn't emerge as a category winner. And for those awaiting current putter tests: MyGolfSpy had to rely on 2025 data for TaylorMade. The message is clear: TaylorMade is going all-in on the Qi4D for 2026. Of course, a fitting remains crucial to get the optimum performance out of the club.
