PGA Tour Takes a Stand: KFT Pace-of-Play Data Soon Public!

Folks, you know the feeling? You're on the edge of your seat for a Sunday finish, only to feel like you're waiting an eternity for the next shot. Slow play is constantly a hot topic in the golf world, and it seems the PGA Tour has finally had enough! They're tackling the problem now, and in a big way.

Soon, things are getting serious: The PGA Tour is starting to publish the pace-of-play data for Korn Ferry Tour players. This means that from May 2026, the average shot time for every golfer competing there will be publicly viewable. A bold step to create transparency and light a fire under these guys.

The Clock is Ticking – Fans Have Had Enough

For years, there have been annoyed comments from us fans. 'Play faster!' – or something similar has often been thought or written. The PGA Tour has listened, because this measure is a direct response to the endless complaints about slow play.

The Korn Ferry Tour clearly serves as a testing ground here. They'll see how it goes before hopefully rolling it out to the main PGA Tour. The decision for this, by the way, was made last November by the PGA Tour Policy Board. So, it's not just talk, it's action.

What's Next?

Currently, the whole thing is still in the planning phase for the big stage. There are no firm details yet on when we'll see the shot-clock data from the big players. But one thing is clear: The direction is right. Finally, a stand against the dawdlers on the green! We'll stay tuned and report as soon as there's news.
