Rahm, captain of Legion XIII and two-time major winner, is grouped with Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth at Aronimink Golf Club. McIlroy won the last two Masters and completed the career Grand Slam last year, while Spieth could also complete the career Grand Slam with a victory this week. Rahm has already won two LIV Golf tournaments this season and would secure the third leg of the Grand Slam with a win this week. He won the 2021 U.S. Open and the 2023 Masters.
This three-ball will tee off at 8:40 a.m. ET on Thursday from the 10th tee and at 2:05 p.m. in the second round on Friday. Crushers GC Captain Bryson DeChambeau, who has also secured two wins this season and finished solo third last week at Maaden LIV Golf Virginia, is also in a prominent group – alongside Rickie Fowler and Ludvig Aberg. By the way, of the 11 LIV Golf players in the field, only two are in the same group for the first two rounds: Martin Kaymer and Elvis Smylie. Kaymer is the only LIV Golf player in the field who has already won the PGA Championship (2010), while Smylie won in his LIV Golf debut in Riyadh in February.
