Matt Fitzpatrick Valspar Champ: PGA Tour

Folks, what a weekend on the PGA Tour! Matt Fitzpatrick clinched victory at the 2026 Valspar Championship in Palm Harbor, Florida. On the infamous Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort, the Englishman delivered a truly strong performance, securing his second PGA Tour title.

Fitzpatrick triumphed with a total score of 11-under par (273 strokes: 68-69-68-68), demonstrating nerves of steel. He not only claimed the trophy but also a hefty $1,638,000 from the total $9.1 million prize money purse.

The Podium and the Chasers

It was no walk in the park: David Lipsky followed him in second place at 10-under par (274), earning him $991,900. Directly behind him, Jordan Smith finished third at 9-under par (275) with a check for $627,900. High-caliber players like Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay were also in the field but finished only T4 and T6, respectively.

German Presence and a Tough Beast of a Course

Representing Germany, Matti Schmid finished in a respectable tie for 40th place at 1-under par, taking home $35,035. The par-71 course, stretching 7,352 yards (6,722 meters), was a true challenge this weekend, but Fitzpatrick withstood the pressure, earning himself 48 crucial OWGR points. What a sensational round!
