What a setup for the 2026 AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes: Yealimi Noh has established a three-shot lead heading into the final round, but hot on her heels are English local favorites Charley Hull and Lottie Woad. Five shots behind her, Charley Hull is at 2-under, while Lottie Woad, after a round of 70 on Saturday, is also a strong contender at 3-under. Hull Rallies the Masses
For Charley Hull, it’s more than just a tournament. After numerous top finishes, she finally wants to claim her first Major title – the first British woman since Georgia Hall in 2018. Her third round was a rollercoaster of emotions: After a shaky start with three dropped shots on the first six holes, she fought her way back into contention with back-to-back birdies and further gains on the closing holes.
Lottie Woad has also shown she is capable of surprises. Her week has been more consistent, and after her round of 70, she is also among the top positions. Woad, who can boast previous top-10 finishes at Women’s Opens, is now looking for her big breakthrough. With Jeeno Thitikul, Haeran Ryu, Esther Henseleit, Lucy Li, and Shiho Kuwaki, other high-caliber players are lurking.
