The British and Irish team is determined to reclaim the trophy from the Americans at the epic Lahinch Golf Club in County Clare, Ireland. After the morning foursomes, GB&I already held a 2½–1½ lead, but that was just the beginning of an emotional rollercoaster.
Drama on the Course
Things really heated up on the course! A rules controversy involving Niall Sheils Donegan and Ryder Cowan already provided plenty of fireworks in the morning, showing that every point was fiercely contested. The USA, led by Miles Russell and Tyler Watts, tried to turn the tide and were, for a time, 3 up through 10 holes against Luke Poulter and Sam Easterbrook. However, GB&I recovered and stabilized the session.

By the end of Saturday, it was young Poulter who remained ice-cold in the decisive singles match against Miles Russell, securing this vital point for GB&I. A truly strong performance that cements the narrow 6½–5½ lead and turns the Walker Cup into a real thriller. This leaves us eagerly anticipating Sunday, as anything can still happen!
