Acushnet's latest figures for the third quarter of 2026 clearly show: Without Titleist, the situation would have been much worse. While other brands in its portfolio struggled, the immense demand for Titleist equipment stabilized overall sales and prevented a significant blow. Despite this, there was a 1.3% decline to $649.2 million in net sales compared to the previous year.
Titleist: The Undisputed Growth Engine
Titleist Golf Equipment is performing exceptionally well, boosting its sales by 0.5% to $429.8 million. A 1.2% increase in constant currency terms indicates unstoppable momentum. The newly launched GTS Drivers and Fairways were particularly instrumental, generating considerable drive. Pro V1 golf balls also played their part perfectly, with increased selling prices and consistently high demand creating global momentum. These balls are simply outstanding!
Unfortunately, this performance could not completely offset the weaknesses of other brands. FootJoy Golf Apparel had to absorb a 7.5% setback, and Golf Gear also faced a 9.5% decline. Although net income rose by 1.4% to $49.2 million, adjusted EBITDA fell by 3.3% to $114.7 million. A small fly in the ointment, showing that not all that glitters is gold.
Looking Ahead: Full Steam Ahead
Management remains composed and speaks of a timing issue, as the GTS Metals launch was already moved to the second quarter. The nine-month balance sheet for 2026 confirms this: Sales are still a robust 6.8% higher at $2.22 billion, and adjusted EBITDA climbed by 16.8% to $467.8 million. Acushnet remains optimistic, adheres to its annual forecast, and even raises its adjusted EBITDA guidance. The message is clear: Titleist is the engine keeping this ship on course and will continue to deliver strong results in the future.
