What a masterclass on the Korn Ferry Tour! Sandy Scott not only secures one, but TWO consecutive victories, emphatically claiming the No. 1 spot heading into the KFT Finals. The Scot has made a statement that will resonate throughout the golf circuit.
On Sunday at the Compliance Solutions Championship, the 28-year-old delivered an unbelievable display. He prevailed in a dramatic four-hole playoff against local favorite William Sides, clinching the victory with a birdie on the fourth extra hole. With this, Scott is the new No. 1 on the points list and enters the Finals next week as the top seed.
Scott's Unstoppable Run
This triumph is not only truly impressive, but also his second consecutive win. Just two weeks ago, he had already secured his PGA Tour Card with his victory at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship – a clear statement to his rivals. For this latest feat, he pocketed a proud $270,000 from the $1.5 million purse. A performance that's simply unstoppable.
Thrills on the Green
The final was pure drama. Scott and Sides engaged in a head-to-head battle, both playing a stellar round of 6-under 64 and finishing tied at 24-under par. Already on Saturday, Yuta Sugiura set a record with an incredible round of 58 – a clear sign of how much firepower is in this field. But in the playoff, Scott proved he had nerves of steel.
