Folks, hold onto your hats! The 2026 LPGA Chevron Championship, the first Major of the year, is heading into the final stretch, and all eyes are on one player: Nelly Korda. The World No. 1 is poised to grab her third Major title, and by the looks of it, she's not letting anyone else near it.
Korda's performance here is, once again, absolutely phenomenal. On Saturday, she shot a scorching round of 65 and extended her lead. While she herself admitted her putter "could have been better," anyone who can dominate the leaderboard with that kind of self-assessment simply has nerves of steel.
The Chasers Hot on Her Heels?
Korda heads into the showdown with a score of -16, while the competition is still trying to keep pace. Patty Tavatanakit is in second place at -11, after making waves with an incredible 60-foot (18-meter) birdie on the 15th green. Just behind them, Pauline Roussin-Bouchard and Ruoning Yin are lurking at -10 in T3.
Showdown in Houston is Already Underway!
The battle for the title has already begun! Since 11:08 AM local time (6:08 PM CEST), the balls have been rolling in Houston, and Korda is defending her five-shot lead over Tavatanakit on the early holes with unparalleled composure.
