Mizuno M.Craft X Z: Zero-Torque Putter Innovation

With the new M.Craft X Z putters, Mizuno is sending a clear message to all golfers still battling unwanted torque on the green. Finally, a zero-torque option is here that not only delivers on its promise but is also modular in design. The shaft axis precisely runs through the center of gravity, promising maximum stability and sending the ball on a true line to the hole. With five head shapes and four hosels, a total of 20 combinations are now available – ensuring every golfer finds their soulmate for their short game.

The key feature is the innovative Z-Hosel. Developed to allow the putter head to sit in any orientation without inevitably tilting back into a toe-up position. John Freeman, Mizuno's engineering ace, refers to this as “infinite toe hang” – meaning: your putter does exactly what you want, without a life of its own. Additionally, two fresh head designs are introduced: the Z2, a wide-profile blade with a triple-wide design, and the Z3, a round mallet with a domed center. One degree of integrated shaft lean and a SuperStroke TLT Pistol 1.0 grip are included as standard.

Your Putting Game, Your Rules

What makes this modular design truly powerful? You're not tied to a rigid design. Instead, within the M.Craft X family, you can swap hosels and heads, allowing you to switch between more traditional toe-hang setups and the zero-torque Z configuration. This is the flexibility we expect from a modern putter. Today’s Golfer already praises the Z version for its stability and recommends the 14g sole weights for an even smoother roll.
