Miyu Yamashita delivered a stunning performance at the Aramco Korea Championship, shattering the New Korea Country Club course record with a bogey-free 63 (-9). What a sensational round, securing her the victory by a comfortable three shots with a total score of 22-under 266. An eagle and seven birdies in the final round – she was absolutely on fire on the green!
Dominance in Seoul
Yamashita had already shown her top form throughout the tournament, staying under 70 in all four rounds (67-68-68-63). Her rivals couldn't keep up as she made a crucial final push, sinking three birdies in four holes and then adding an eagle on the par-5 17th. This allowed the Japanese player, currently ranked No. 5 in the world, to secure a dominant victory. Sara Kouskova from the Czech Republic also carded a 63, finishing in a strong second place at 19-under 269 – but Yamashita's final charge was unstoppable.
The Streak Continues
For Miyu Yamashita, this was already her fourth worldwide triumph in 2026 and her second Ladies European Tour title, having already claimed the AIG Women’s Open in 2025. Additionally, she has two LPGA Tour wins this season at the Meijer LPGA Classic and the CPKC Women’s Open. Kim Hyo-joo, who started as the defending champion and hoped for her third consecutive victory, finished tied for seventh place this time at 13-under 275. Yamashita pocketed approximately $300,000 USD from the $2 million prize purse for her masterclass performance – a true power move on the tour.
