What a masterclass Adrian Meronk and Keane frontman Tom Chaplin delivered at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship – securing the team title and Meronk additionally bagging the individual win! This is none other than the legendary "Dunhill Links Double," a feat Meronk is only the third player ever to accomplish. St. Andrews witnessed a golf performance that was pure emotion.
Dream Team on the Green
The Meronk/Chaplin duo was simply unbeatable on the links courses. With a stunning 41-under par, they clinched the team title, leaving the competition one stroke behind. Keane singer Tom Chaplin proved he can deliver not only on stage but also on the green, contributing significantly to this sensational outcome.
Meronk Dominates the Old Course
But the drama didn't end there: Adrian Meronk, who was four strokes behind going into the final round, put on a spectacular show at the Old Course. A 4-under 68 was enough to ultimately claim the individual victory with a two-stroke lead over Casey Jarvis and Niklas Norgaard. It was Meronk's fifth DP World Tour title and brought an end to a seemingly endless drought of 1,078 days since his last win at the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucia Masters in 2023. This triumph also secures him full DP World Tour membership for 2027 – a victory that counts not just for the record books, but for his career.
