“Mexico City has proven to be an incredible home for LIV Golf’s world-class events, and our fans continue to enjoy the competition, music, culture, and energy that make LIV Golf an inclusive experience for all,” said Ross Hallett, LIV Golf Executive Vice President and Head of Events. “We are grateful to our hosts Club de Golf Chapultepec, home team Torque GC, the City of Mexico, the Salinas family, and especially the passionate fans whose support makes this event so special as we build for the future in Mexico. We can’t wait to return in 2027 to continue our mission to grow the game of golf globally.”
LIV Golf Mexico City will return as part of the league’s global calendar, driven by the city’s passion and the support of home team Torque GC, featuring Mexican stars Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz, Chilean Captain Joaquin Niemann, and Colombian Sebastian Muñoz. This week’s event showcased outstanding performances from Spanish legend and two-time Major winner Jon Rahm (Captain of Legion XIII), as well as a trio of Spanish stars from Fireballs GC, David Puig, Josele Ballester, and Luis Masaveu, all of whom are still in contention for the event's individual title ahead of today's final round.
More than just a golf tournament, this week’s event also delivered a four-day festival of music, gastronomy, art, and entertainment inspired by Mexican culture. An interactive Kids Zone and Fan Village, live cooking and mixology demonstrations, Alebrijes-themed performances, and live concerts by superstars Los Ángeles Azules and SOFI TUKKER were enthusiastically received by fans throughout the week. As part of its global tournament calendar, LIV Golf events worldwide have generated over $1 billion in economic value for host cities, supporting tourism, hospitality, and local communities, while achieving an international broadcast reach of over 900 million. LIV Golf Mexico City 2026 concludes today as the 57-player international field competes in the four-round event at Club de Golf Chapultepec.
