Hong Kong Open 2026: Rahm, McKibbin, Johnson to Tee Off!

Link Hong Kong Open Secures Key Dates for Season Finale

HONG KONG – The Link Hong Kong Open will once again play a crucial role in the outcome of the season on the Asian Tour and the International Series. Organisers today confirmed that the renowned event will take place from October 22 to 25, 2026, at the Hong Kong Golf Club (HKGC) in Fanling. It will offer a prize purse of US$2 million and will be part of the International Series for the fourth consecutive time, which is the premier tier of events on the Asian Tour that paves a pathway to the LIV Golf League.

“The historic Hong Kong Open has long attracted some of the sport's biggest stars, and we are very much looking forward to hosting the 65th edition at Fanling,” said Andy Kwok, Captain of the HKGC. “The tournament is always a favourite among players and fans alike, an undisputed highlight on the local sporting calendar, and underscores our club’s commitment to further promoting Hong Kong's status as a major event capital. Our sincere thanks go to Link Asset Management, the title sponsor for the third consecutive year. It truly promises to be another wonderful week of world-class golf and entertainment.”

Today's news follows the thrilling climax of LIV Golf Hong Kong at the HKGC over the weekend. Thousands of fans watched Legion XIII Captain Jon Rahm win the individual title and Dustin Johnson's 4Aces GC team secure the team honors.

Cho Minn Thant, Commissioner & CEO of the Asian Tour, said: “The Asian Tour is very pleased to confirm a prime spot on our calendar for the Link Hong Kong Open. Our close affinity with this prestigious event and the special relationship with the Hong Kong Golf Club, as well as the tournament partners, is well-known, and we are delighted to have finalized the details for this year’s edition. We thank the HKGC, the Golf Association of Hong Kong, China, and LIV Golf for their incredible support.”

This year marks the 65th staging of the event. First played in 1959, it is the longest-running international sporting event in Hong Kong and joins Augusta National Golf Club, home of the Masters Tournament, as the only golf club to have hosted the same professional tournament for over 60 years.

Rahul Singh, Head of The International Series, said: “The 2026 edition will be the fourth time the tournament features on the International Series calendar, and its standing at Fanling continues to resonate with players and fans. The strong spectator numbers we see year after year underscore our commitment to fostering such flagship events and bringing world-class golf to Hong Kong.”

This season will also be the third consecutive year that Link Asset Management Limited (Link) – a leading international property investor and asset manager – serves as title sponsor. Northern Irishman Tom McKibbin won the tournament last
