At the 2026 Hero Indian Open, he has secured the outright lead after two rounds, sitting at an impressive 8-under par (67-69). By doing so, he not only defends his title from last year at the infamous DLF Golf & Country Club, but also reinforces that this course simply suits his game.
In his second round, the 26-year-old carded a 3-under 69, highlighted by four birdies, three bogeys, and a big eagle on the par-5 18th hole. His driving game is particularly strong, and the positive vibes from the previous year are palpable. Chacarra himself says that his 2025 victory changed his life – and that joy for the game is his secret to success.
