DeChambeau: Playoff Victory at LIV Golf Singapore!

THE CHAMPION AND THE MASTERCLASS: BRYSON DECHAMBEAU CLAIMS THE TITLE IN SINGAPORE! SINGAPORE. What a finish at Aramco LIV Golf Singapore, folks! Bryson DeChambeau secured the victory in a sudden-death playoff against Wild Card Richard T. Lee, once again showing who's boss on the green. DeChambeau actually started the round one shot behind co-leaders Joaquin Niemann and Lee Westwood. But the man conjured up a 5-under 66 on the course during several rain delays, thereby sealing the win. Then, on the first playoff hole, a bitter pill for Lee: He missed a short putt for par – clearing the way for DeChambeau to snatch the title. But the team competition also saw some intense action! The 4Aces GC secured a comfortable victory, triumphing for the second consecutive week – marking the first time they've won twice in a row since the 2022 LIV Golf season. Every 4Aces player was exceptionally strong on Sunday. Anthony Kim and Thomas Pieters even delivered bogey-free rounds, securing the 4Aces a five-stroke lead over Ripper GC. A phenomenal performance! Time to look back at a few highlights from Aramco LIV Golf Singapore, golfers!

THE STELLAR ROUND OF THE WEEK

Sure, DeChambeau's Sunday round was very strong – but the foundation for this triumph was already laid in his spectacular second round. When he teed off on Friday, DeChambeau was tied with a tightly bunched leaderboard. But then he hammered a 6-under 65 on the course – at that point, the round of the week, no joke! His overall score of 10-under secured him a three-shot lead heading into the weekend. And he would sorely need those shots, let's just say that. The stats for the round? Six birdies, one eagle, and unfortunately, a solitary bogey on Hole 15. Still: incredibly strong! "I'm focused on my golf, on what I can control," DeChambeau revealed after Round 2. "I know it sounds like a cliché, but you can't get too caught up in what everyone else is doing. I need to make sure I start the ball precisely on my lines, exactly as I need to, and roll the putts on my lines, as I must. If that works, I think I have a good chance." Talk about walking the talk, Bryson!

THE CLUTCH PERFORMANCE

On the back nine of the final round, DeChambeau was still three shots behind Joaquin Niemann. But then DeChambeau delivered a masterclass: He posted a bogey-free 2-under on the back nine, while Niemann visibly struggled and limped to the finish. On the first playoff hole, things got really wild again: DeChambeau pulled his tee shot out-of-bounds! But the man is an artist: He crafted a tricky up-and-down for par to keep his hopes alive. What nerves, golfers! That's how it is when it gets...
