At just 19 years old, Blades Brown not only stirred up the Korn Ferry Tour Championship on Sunday but also snatched the highly coveted PGA Tour card for 2027. The youngster is making history as the youngest player to qualify for the premier league via the Korn Ferry Tour. A true game-changer on the green!
Brown secured his PGA Tour membership at exactly 19 years, four months, and 20 days – surpassing golf icon Jason Day, who was considered the record holder in 2007 at 19 years, 11 months, and 23 days. In the final round at The Federal Club, Blades shot a 2-under 69, finishing the tournament as solo runner-up behind Austin Hitt. A stellar round that secured him ninth place in the overall points standings and comfortably propelled him into the top 20.
From Prodigy to Tour Pro
The path was steep for Brown, who already in December 2024, at a tender 17, ventured into professional golf, bypassing the college route. In 2026 alone, he started 11 times on the PGA Tour and 17 times on the Korn Ferry Tour, making an impressive 24 cuts in 28 starts. His best PGA Tour result was a third-place finish at the Puerto Rico Open, in addition to three top-five finishes on the Korn Ferry Tour. This guy has been delivering since he stepped onto the course.
Full Focus on 2027
