Australia is serving us a real marathon starting this Thursday: The 2026–27 PGA Tour of Australasia season kicks off with a jam-packed calendar that will make golfers' hearts pound and brings us 19 events. It's going to be a summer to remember, keeping the stars of the green busy well into next year.
The CKB WA PGA Championship, making its 15th appearance at the Kalgoorlie Golf Course, kicks things off. A true classic and a statement for the region, as the city of Kalgoorlie and the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia have extended their partnership until at least 2031. For those who don't want to miss the start of the season: The final rounds will be broadcast Saturday from 4–7 p.m. AEDT (7–10 a.m. CEST) and Sunday from 2–7 p.m. AEDT (5–10 a.m. CEST) on Fox Sports and Kayo Sports.
High-Caliber Calendar
The next few weeks will be truly exciting for all golf enthusiasts. Indeed, tournaments are scheduled for 17 of the next 24 weeks – so you better recharge your batteries! In addition to the WA Open and the Players Series SA in October, November boasts highlights like the Ford NSW Open. Particularly noteworthy are the Queensland PGA Championship, celebrating its 100th staging, and the BMW Australian PGA Championship, also a 100th edition, with The Lakes in Sydney hosting for the first time since 1987.
McIlroy and the DP World Tour
The absolute highlight in December, however, is the Australian Open in Melbourne, featuring none other than Rory McIlroy as the top star. And for all DP World Tour fans, there's more good news: The BMW Australian PGA Championship at the end of November is not only a major event in itself, but also kicks off the new DP World Tour season – a truly significant happening that turns the Australian summer into a global stage. The challenge is accepted, clubs are drawn, and we are ready for every smashing round!
