Whistler GC gears up: $10 million for a top-tier golf revival in 2027
The Whistler Golf Club is investing an astronomical sum of $10 million in a complete transformation, culminating in July 2027. This isn't just a facelift; it's a true reinvention designed to elevate playability, aesthetics, and safety to new levels. So, for anyone who has always dreamed of the ultimate golf experience in the Canadian Rockies, mark this date boldly on your calendar.
The extensive renovation is being led by Thad Layton, a veteran of Arnold Palmer Course Design – a name that immediately guarantees quality for golfers worldwide. On the course, we can expect completely redesigned tee boxes, modernized bunkers, and a realignment of the greens on holes 3 and 12. Additionally, there will be freshly upgraded fairways and greens, as well as brand-new cart paths. In short: The course will feel like a brand-new track, but with the soul of Whistler.
More Than Just a Golf Course
However, the metamorphosis doesn't end at the final green. The overall package also includes a complete renovation of Palmer's Restaurant, an upgrade to the clubhouse terrace, and a new snack shack near the first tee. General Manager Alan Kristmanson clarifies: The goal is to offer a playing experience that remains 'unmistakably Whistler' while simultaneously creating a contemporary and inviting atmosphere.
