Tiger Woods: DUI Court Reversal – 'Not Guilty'

The golf world watches Florida with bated breath: Tiger Woods, who was involved in a car accident this March, is set to change his plea in the DUI case – a maneuver that has the scene buzzing.

According to court records, a "change of plea" hearing has been scheduled for the golf superstar early Wednesday morning. Things are heating up in court in Martin County. His lawyer? He remains silent, leaving fans and experts in the dark about the exact nature of the turn in the Woods case.

The 15-time major winner crashed his SUV into a trailer near his home on Jupiter Island in March. Officers on the scene deemed him impaired, and what's even more explosive: He had opioid painkillers with him. A real drama unfolded there.

Initially, Woods had pleaded not guilty – to charges of driving under the influence, property damage, and refusing a test. His explanation then? He claimed he was looking at his phone and changing the radio station. A story not everyone bought immediately.

Just days later, Woods pulled the emergency brake and announced he was stepping away to get his health under control. A judge greenlighted an overseas trip, likely to a specialized clinic in Switzerland. A trip that made headlines.

Woods made his first public appearance after the arrest in June at the PGA Tour's Travelers Championship. Shortly after, in July, came the next bad news: A judge ruled that prosecutors could examine Woods' hospital treatment and his prescription medication records. Although this sensitive data can only be viewed by investigators and his defense team, it shows: They are digging deep here.

Added to this is his long medical history: Multiple back surgeries and severe leg injuries after another, separate car accident in California in 2021 attest to a long period of suffering. The list of health challenges is long.
