Although he had only won one tournament throughout the entire year leading up to the season finale – with five second-place finishes and eleven top-5 placements in 17 starts – Scheffler was visibly relieved: "This is something I'm very proud of."
With this second triumph at the Tour Championship, Scheffler joins the ranks of multiple winners of this season finale, which has been held since 1987, as the fourth player. Only legends like Tiger Woods (USA) and Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) with three titles each are ahead of him. Phil Mickelson (USA) is on par with two victories as well.
