Sam Burns Inspires Kids Ahead of BMW Championship

Sam Burns demonstrated in St. Louis that golf is about more than just the perfect swing when, on August 18, 2026, he provided youngsters from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis access to professional golf. Shortly before the BMW Championship at Bellerive Country Club, the five-time PGA Tour winner took time to inspire around 20 young golfers and introduce them to the sport they usually only admire from afar. A truly impressive and heartfelt appearance.

At the clinic on the practice green at Bellerive Country Club, Burns not only offered technical tips but also conveyed motivation and the important message of "giving back." For the kids, it was a unique opportunity to meet a player currently ranked 11th in the Official World Golf Ranking up close. This is how high-level talent development happens – straight from the source.

More Than Just a Pro

Burns, who was preparing for the FedEx Cup Playoff event, sent a clear message here: Even as a top player with a packed schedule, time for the next generation is golden. This commitment sets him apart from many and shows that the values of golf – respect, integrity, and community – are not just words on paper for him. That's how it's done!

Community Spirit on the Green

The day wasn't just about golf. After the session, Raising Cane’s restaurant provided meals for the young athletes, rounding off a perfect morning. Burns isn't just there to chase trophies but also to leave a positive mark on the community. A role model who will surely conjure up another phenomenal round on the greens at the upcoming BMW Championship.
