MacIntyre himself spoke of a "pure round of golf," despite being tossed back and forth between an "unluckiest stretch of few holes" and the "luckiest stretch of few holes." Especially between holes 10 and 12, where a bogey, a double bogey from the sand, and another dropped shot frayed his nerves, before he impressively rallied with a birdie on the 13th and two late eagles on the 15th and 17th.
Bob's Fightback – More Than Just Shots
Despite these ups and downs, he held on at an impressive four under par overall, a position that keeps him firmly in contention for the weekend. His opening round, a strong 68, had already shown that Bob, as his fans call him, is in excellent form. While MacIntyre feels his inner fire, others are also heating up on the green. Aaron Rai and Joakim Lagergren have taken the lead with their opening rounds of 66.
