Penge & Reitan: DP World Tour Debutants Make Masters Cut

The 2026 Masters is heating up, and the Augusta National course showed its most ruthless side. After two rounds, the cut line stood at a dramatic 4-over 148 – the highest cut of the season! But right in the middle of the drama: some truly strong rookies making their mark on golf's biggest stage.

Particular focus is on Marco Penge, who is truly delivering in his Masters debut. The DP World Tour player secured his spot for the weekend with a score of 1 over. What an impressive start for the youngster, proving he has nerves of steel even under extreme pressure.

But Penge isn't the only debutant making waves on the legendary course. Norway's Kristoffer Reitan delivered a sensational round and is even at a strong 4 under. With six birdies, he also secured his spot for the final rounds, proving he has no fear of the big stage.

In total, eight first-time participants advanced to the next round; of the 91 starters, 54 players are still in contention. Even a seasoned veteran of the DP World Tour, Alex Noren, remained unscathed with rounds of 77 and 71 and is also playing on the weekend. The DP World Tour accounts for a total of 36 participants, some of whom have performed exceptionally well.
