What a statement in Busan: Joaquin Niemann snatched the LIV Golf Korea title in a playoff, shattering his own record! The Torque GC Captain once again proved on Sunday why he is the league's 'Winningest Man,' securing his eighth (!) individual title on the LIV Tour.
He engaged in a thrilling battle with OKGC Captain Talor Gooch. Both finished the regular round at Asiad Country Club with an impressive 12 under par, before heading into the decisive playoff.
Thrills on the Green
The 27-year-old Niemann, the league's youngest captain, then sealed the deal on the first playoff hole, sinking a birdie putt. A bitter moment for Gooch, who had forced a tie on the 16th hole with a 28-foot putt (approx. 8.5 meters), countering Niemann's four-birdie streak on the front nine.
Crushers GC Wins Team Title
While Niemann triumphantly lifted the individual crown, there was also a winner in the team standings: Bryson DeChambeau's Crushers GC secured another title, making them the sole leader in the league's team successes. Niemann's first win in 2026 demonstrates that his momentum from last year (five wins!) continues seamlessly.
