Min Woo Lee is set to electrify the DP World India Championship – the Australian bolsters an already exceptionally strong field and makes his debut on Indian soil. The name Lee always gets golf fans excited, and this time the superstar has confirmed his participation for the spectacle that awaits us from October 15th to 18th at the Delhi Golf Club. Joining him on the tee: an absolute elite contingent, all aiming to take home the trophy.
The Crème de la Crème on the Tee
The DP World India Championship is shaping up to be the ultimate golf gathering. Alongside Lee, top stars like Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Ryan Fox, Shane Lowry, Justin Rose, Luke Donald, and Viktor Hovland have already confirmed their participation. This is no coincidence, as the tournament boasts a hefty prize fund of $4 million – the largest sum ever offered at a DP World Tour event in India. This tournament, celebrating only its second edition after being launched last year, is thereby definitively establishing itself as a premier event on the global golf calendar. Local heroes Shubhankar Sharma and Anirban Lahiri are also eager to perform strongly on home soil.
Lee's Momentum Continues
Min Woo Lee is long since a household name. Since his professional debut in 2019, the Australian has built an impressive resume. After his first DP World Tour title in 2020, two more victories on the Tour followed, and last season he claimed his first PGA Tour title at the Texas Children’s Houston Open. He's also making a significant international impact: he represented Australia at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and was part of the International Team at the 2024 Presidents Cup. The fact that he is now teeing off in India for the first time makes the event even more exciting. This is going to be a thrilling event!
