Folks, buckle up! The PGA Tour is really hitting its stride, and we're in the midst of a stretch that's sure to blow every golf nerd away. This week marks the 2026 Truist Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina – the sixth Signature Event of the season. It's not just about a hefty 20 million dollars in prize money (with 3.6 million alone for the winner!), but also about crucial 700 FedEx Cup points. The field of 72 players is elite, yet incredibly strong.
The action kicks off on Thursday, May 7th, and runs until Sunday, May 10th, when a champion will be crowned. And who leads the field? None other than Rory McIlroy! The Masters defending champion (yes, in 2026 he snagged the Green Jacket once again!) is back after a well-deserved break and has a true love affair with Quail Hollow – he's already secured four victories here (2010, 2015, 2021, 2024). Alongside him are top players like Matt Fitzpatrick, Justin Rose, and Tommy Fleetwood. The only downside: World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is absent, as he's preparing for his title defense at the PGA Championship. But hey, Cameron Young is showing incredible form, coming off his wire-to-wire victory at the last event and two triumphs in his last four starts!

No sooner has the dust settled at Quail Hollow than it's on to the next mega-event: The 108th PGA Championship 2026 is calling! From May 14th to 17th, the golf elite will gather at Aronimink Golf Club in Newton Square, Pennsylvania, for the second Major Championship of the year.
With a field of 154 players, including 15 former PGA Champions and 29 Major winners, it's a true gathering of legends. Two spots are still highly coveted and could go to winners of the Truist Championship or the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, provided they haven't already qualified. Phil Mickelson has withdrawn at short notice, but Max Homa has already stepped in as an alternate. It's clear that preparations are in full swing, and after McIlroy's Masters defense this year, the anticipation for the second Major is enormous. Get ready for golf at its highest level!
