Joaquin Niemann and Talor Gooch share the lead heading into the final round of LIV Golf Korea in Busan, while Crushers GC holds a narrow lead in the team standings. This promises plenty of drama! The two have collectively won eleven individual LIV Golf titles in their first four seasons in the league. Now, they head into the final round of LIV Golf Korea on Sunday, ready to contend for another trophy.
Niemann, captain of Torque GC, and Gooch, in his first season as OKGC captain, share the 54-hole lead at 9-under-par at the challenging Asiad Country Club. Just one shot behind is Scott Vincent of HyFlyers GC, with Ripper GC captain Cameron Smith and Charles Howell III of Crushers GC tied for fourth place at 7-under-par.
DeChambeau Struggles, DJ Delivers
Crushers captain Bryson DeChambeau, who claimed victory at LIV Golf Korea last year when the tournament was held outside Seoul, carded two late bogeys on the closing holes. This dropped him back to a tie for sixth place, which he shares with 4Aces GC captain Dustin Johnson and Ben Campbell of RangeGoats GC. Johnson delivered the lowest round of the day, a 6-under 64.
Teams: Crushers Hold Advantage
In the team standings, the Crushers – who also triumphed in Korea last year – are at 16-under-par, one shot ahead of OKGC, who are playing only their second tournament since their rebranding from Smash GC. Ripper GC occupies sole third place at 12-under-par.
