LIV Golf Launches LIV For Good: 5 Million Youth & Net-Zero!

Folks, pay attention! LIV Golf isn't just about massive prize money and showtime; it's now launching a truly powerful mission: "LIV For Good." This comprehensive sustainability program is all about advancing the sport, the community, and our planet. Already, one million kids have been reached through LIV Golf initiatives – and that's just the tee-off!

The team at LIV Golf has big plans, aiming to inspire five million young people by 2032. And if you think that's all, you're mistaken: they also aim to achieve net-zero status by 2040. Things are really getting serious, not just on the green, but also in terms of sustainability. CEO Scott O'Neil emphasizes that it's about making golf more globally accessible and setting new environmental standards.

Green Isn't Just the Color of the Green

When it comes to the environment, they're already making serious progress. LIV Golf is the first league ever to snag an ISO 20121 certification for sustainable event management from the British Standards Institution (BSI). Additionally, they've secured 13 GEO certifications in recent years. At least five more events are to be sustainably certified each year. Every CO2 emission is meticulously checked, and with local partners at our 14 global events, work is being done to reduce waste and donate materials. The goal? Zero-waste events and precisely that net-zero status.

The Next Generation at the Tee

Jake Jones, SVP for Impact and Sustainability, makes it clear that these aren't vague dreams, but rather concrete goals with timelines. This is vital to truly advance the sport and inspire the next generation for golf. Want an example? The "MyGolf powered by Ripper GC" program reached almost 17,000 participants in its first year and is even targeting 40,000 for 2026. That's how it's done! The initiative at The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide, Australia, showed kids nature on the golf course – because golf is more than just a game, it's an experience!
