LIV Golf Mexico City: Garcia & Co. Go on the Attack!

LIV Golf returns to Mexico City for another high-altitude duel at Club de Golf Chapultepec. The tree-lined course features Kikuyu fairways and rough and plays as a par 72 at 7,443 yards. At an elevation of approximately 7,350 feet above sea level, the thin air promises some of the longest drives LIV Golf fans will see all season. Last year, Joaquin Niemann won at 16-under par after coming from behind in front of passionate Latin American fans. Here are the Team Power Rankings for all 13 teams competing at LIV Golf Mexico City.

Fireballs GC

  1. Fireballs GC. The Fireballs' sluggish start has been one of the slight surprises of the season. Despite Abraham Ancer moving to Torque GC, expectations for Sergio Garcia's team were still high at the start of the season. This week offers them the perfect opportunity to bounce back.

Garcia & the Young Guns on the Attack

Garcia made only his second Masters cut in eight attempts since his 2017 victory, which bodes well for a strong week. Josele Ballester and David Puig, both young, powerful hitters and elite off the tee, should both seriously contend on the individual leaderboard under Chapultepec's elevated, firm conditions.
