He left the tournament with his first individual LIV Golf title, a berth in next month's U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, and one of the most dominant wire-to-wire performances in league history. Herbert led from the opening round, finishing the tournament with rounds of 64-63-68-69 at a stunning 24-under par. He held Fireballs GC Captain Sergio Garcia at bay by a full four strokes – a performance that tested every part of his game.

Things also got dramatic in the team competition. The 4Aces GC were locked in a head-to-head battle with Fireballs GC. Both teams finished tied at 49 under par – a playoff was needed! But it wasn't just the winners who caused a stir. Josele Ballester conjured a performance on the green in Round 3 that will go down in LIV Golf history: a 12-under 60! Ten birdies and an eagle – this young Spaniard thus set a new course record at Trump National Washington D.C. and tied the lowest score relative to par in LIV Golf history. It was the lowest round Ballester had ever played in his life, and the first course record he was able to claim. "It doesn't get much better than this," Ballester himself commented. "It was a fantastic day of golf."
