Green Claims Singapore Title! Caddie Husband Her Ace.

Hannah Green Wins Title: Caddie Husband Stars!

What a golf thriller in Singapore! Hannah Green triumphed in spectacular fashion: at the LPGA Tour's HSBC Women's World Championship, she claimed her second title on Sunday. And she did it with a man by her side who played an absolutely decisive role: husband Jarryd Felton, who spontaneously stepped in as caddie. Incredible, golfer romance at its finest at Sentosa Golf Club!

Felton, a professional golfer himself, was only caddying for her for the second time this year. His involvement certainly paid dividends! But folks, the duo proved they were a perfect match: with a total score of 14 under par (274), the 29-year-old snatched victory in Singapore – by a razor-thin margin of just one stroke. It was a real nail-biter!

"This was absolutely a team effort over the last two weeks," Green beamed after the round. "It's incredibly special to share my seventh victory – and that's also my favorite number – with him." Understandable, when your partner plays such a significant role in the triumph.

The impromptu caddying, incidentally, had a serious reason: "My regular caddie is currently applying for a Green Card and couldn't leave the USA. That wasn't actually part of our season plan. Luckily, my husband was able to step in for me and carry the bag." Sometimes you just have to improvise, and it works out!

Green, by the way, started the final day tied with three-time Major winner Minjee Lee. A true duel was unfolding. She didn't hesitate: after an early birdie, she immediately followed up with an eagle on the par-5 eighth. Boom, she took the lead! She continued with a 33 on the front nine, then followed with birdies on the 11th and 13th. Truly strong!

A bogey on the 14th? No problem! Because on the 15th, she promptly responded with another birdie. Nerves of steel, one might say.

The finish then became a real nail-biter when she dropped two shots on the 17th and 18th. Whew! But her superb round of 69 (three under par) was just enough to edge out American Auston Kim. With this, she claims her second title at the HSBC Women's World Championship, having already triumphed in 2024. A repeat winner in the best sense!

"I was nervous and told Jarryd a few times that I wasn't feeling comfortable," Green admitted. "He reminded me to take a deep breath, grab a snack, or simply drink some water." Well, the psychological component is often crucial in golf – and a good caddie is worth their weight in gold! "I haven't had such an adrenaline-fueled round in a long time. But we really managed it incredibly well!"

Minjee Lee, by the way, finished her round with a 72 and thus shared third place with France's Pauline Roussin-Bouchard and Angel Yin from the USA.
