Talor Gooch and his OKGC team head into the weekend as leaders in Busan, while Bryson DeChambeau and Crushers GC will attempt to catch up from second place.
BUSAN, South Korea – Talor Gooch calls the Asiad Country Club a shot-maker’s course. The OKGC captain demonstrated on Friday why this course perfectly suits his game. Gooch shot a 7-under 63 in the second round of LIV Golf Korea 2026, securing the 36-hole lead at 8-under par, one stroke ahead of Bryson DeChambeau, captain of Crushers GC. Five players are tied for third place at 5-under par: Ripper GC Captain Cameron Smith, Torque GC Captain Joaquin Niemann, Scott Vincent of HyFlyers GC, Thomas Pieters of 4Aces GC, and Charles Howell III of Crushers GC.
OKGC on Top
It's not just Gooch performing strongly individually. His OKGC team, competing in only its second tournament since a name change and realignment, also holds a one-stroke lead at 14-under par over the Crushers. Ripper GC is in third place.
Chasing a Fifth Title
Gooch, the 2023 LIV Golf Individual Champion, will be aiming for his fifth individual title this weekend. Two of his previous titles were won in Valderrama, the venue for LIV Golf Andalucia next week, which is also a shot-maker's layout. It seems he is finding his form at precisely the right time.
