Folks, that was once again a DELOFTED-style finish at the 2026 RBC Heritage! Matt Fitzpatrick claimed the victory at Harbour Town Golf Links – but not without an unbelievable showdown against world number one Scottie Scheffler. Drama on the green was guaranteed here until the very last second.
Scheffler Mounts Pressure
After 54 holes, things looked clear: Fitzpatrick held a solid three-stroke lead heading into the final round. But then came "Moving Day" on Saturday, and Scheffler really turned it on. With a blistering round of 64, the lead was cut to just three strokes. The world No. 1 had tasted blood and secured the final pairing. You could tell: it was really on.
Nerve-Wracking Until the End
In Round 4, Scheffler didn't let up. He went 2-under over the final four holes and kept closing the gap, while Fitzpatrick even carded a bogey on the 72nd hole. That was enough for a playoff! The tension was almost unbearable as the two giants headed into a playoff. Who would claim the title? Who would become a two-time champion at Harbour Town?
