As the LIV Golf League heads to LIV Golf Andalucía at Real Club Valderrama, the stage is set for the ninth stop on the 14-tournament calendar. Last year, Talor Gooch secured his second consecutive individual title at Valderrama, with Fireballs GC taking home the team trophy. The historic par-71 course, measuring 7,010 yards, is one of the most demanding and strategic venues in professional golf. Here are the power rankings for all 13 teams.
POWER RANKINGS 1. FIREBALLS GC
No team is better suited for Valderrama than Fireballs GC. Sergio Garcia already won this event in 2024 and has a deep, almost spiritual connection to Real Club Valderrama that cannot be artificially created – he grew up in Borriol, less than four hours up the Spanish coast, and has played this golf course more times than he could count. His form has been inconsistent in 2026, but Valderrama has a knack for bringing out the best version of Garcia, and this week, the stage for a comeback couldn't be more perfect.
Then there's Josele Ballester, quietly developing into one of professional golf's most dangerous young players. The 22-year-old Spaniard shot a 67 in the final round of this event last year when he was still finding his footing as a professional and was far from the player he has since become. A year of experience, a near-historic week in Virginia where he shot a 60, and a maturing all-around game make him a significantly more dangerous option this time. David Puig finished the tournament in Korea at T16 and brings strong form to Valderrama. When you add up Puig's consistency, Ballester's emerging game, and Garcia's inseparable connection to this golf course, Fireballs GC are the team to beat in Spain.
