But before the first tee shots are hit at Harbour Town, there's exciting news from the course. The legendary venue has received a facelift, led by none other than golf icon Davis Love III. And naturally, with such renovations, the Tour community quickly gets nervous.
The PGA Tour players had a very clear message for Davis Love III when he took on the project: the eight words “Don’t mess it up!” The stakes were high for the guys, because in the past, such renovations didn't always go smoothly. But Love, who is a five-time RBC Heritage champion himself, knew what he was doing. Work began after the 2025 event and lasted six months. The focus was on the greens, which were restored to their original forms – no wild experiments. Harbour Town thrives on its doglegs, small greens, and tight tree-lined setting, and precisely that was to be preserved.
JT Gives the Green Light
Good news from the defending champion: Justin Thomas, who won here in 2025, has already taken a closer look at nine holes. His conclusion? Pure relief! He highly praised the “very subtle changes” and was visibly pleased that Love contributed his expertise and respected the character of the course. Before teeing off on Thursday (April 16), he plans to check out the back nine.
RBC Heritage 2026: What's On
This year's RBC Heritage, taking place from April 16 to 19, 2026, is a real heavyweight on the calendar with a hefty prize purse of 20 million dollars (3.6 million dollars for the winner!). The Par-71 course measures 7,243 yards (6,623 meters) and is known for prioritizing precision over sheer power. In addition to the usual suspects, several top players are competing via sponsor exemptions: Wyndham Clark, Tony Finau, Billy Horschel, and Marco Penge will battle for the title here. The next highlight after that, by the way, is the Zurich Classic.
