The next title sponsor for the legendary PGA Tour event at Torrey Pines has been confirmed, and it's a major splash! Sentry Insurance has secured the naming rights and is renaming the tournament: Welcome, The Sentry. This marks the end of an era, as Farmers Insurance departs as a long-standing partner – but rest assured, the Century Club of San Diego will continue to manage the event.
A New Era on the Pacific
The date is set for January 27-30, 2027, when competition will unfold on the famous North and South Courses of Torrey Pines. A clever move by the Tour: The final round will be held on Saturday to avoid conflicting with the NFL Conference Championship Weekend. Priorities, golfers, priorities!
In the 2027 Tour calendar, The Sentry will debut as the second event, one week after The American Express in La Quinta, California. Insiders know: Sentry was previously the title sponsor of the Kapalua event in Hawaii for eight years. However, the Tour has parted ways with the Hawaii swing, making Torrey Pines the logical successor after Farmers' departure.
Torrey Pines Remains a Powerhouse
This is a huge win for the West Coast! Sentry secures a prominent spot on the Tour calendar at one of the most renowned public golf courses in the world. Torrey Pines remains a powerhouse – and we're excited for the first edition of The Sentry in January 2027!
