Lacroix: First Tour Ace! BMW iX5 Won at BMW PGA!

A hole-in-one and a brand-new BMW iX5 xDrive60 M Sport – Frederic Lacroix delivered the perfect shot on the 14th hole at the BMW PGA Championship, not only writing golf history. With a precise 7-iron, he sent the ball 163 yards (149 meters) directly into the hole, securing his first ace on the DP World Tour. This was also the second hole-in-one of the week at Wentworth Club.

Although Lacroix was no longer in contention for the Rolex Series title at that point, he delivered a really strong final round. He finished the tournament with an impressive five-under 67, bringing his total to a strong seven-under par overall. The competition was fierce on the green, and Lacroix proved he can perform under pressure.

A Dream Car as a Reward

The BMW PGA Championship is known for its special prizes, and this year, pros could choose from ten different BMW models in advance. Lacroix had chosen the brand-new 2026 iX5 xDrive60 M Sport – and that's exactly what he now has in his garage. The Frenchman, who already won the Danish Golf Championship in 2024, is thus showing that his game is in great form.

Ace-Man on the West Course

What's special: It wasn't the only perfect shot of the week. Adrian Meronk had already scored an ace on the same 14th hole in the third round. Lacroix started his final round still at T62, but with rounds of 69, 70, and 75 before his sensational 67, he showed that he's not just good for a show-shot, but can also really deliver when it counts. A day that will surely go down in history – and not just because of the hole-in-one.
